International Registration (IR)

International Registration (IR)

In order to register and protect your trademark in numerous countries, also outside Europe, the International Registration via the Madrid Trademark System is a good and relatively inexpensive option.

Your already existing basic trademark is used as a basis for your for your International Registration (IR). A trademark registration or trademark application at the German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO) or the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) is suitable as a basic trademark. In the course of the trademark application at WIPO, your basic trademark is registered internationally or extended to target countries to be specifically designated.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your inquiry will NOT directly result in the filing of an International Registration. We will first examine your inquiry and data and contact you with a cost estimate for further discussion. Your final approval will be required before we take any further steps.
